Managing IP Reputation

Various watchdog groups on Internet are maintaining IP reputation lists also referred to as “Blacklists” or “Blocklists”. It is a list of bad IP Addresses that are suspected of being untrustworthy, sending overwhelming spam emails, and doing other suspicious activities on the Internet. These IP reputation lists are referred by worldwide CSPs, Mail Service providers, Corporates, and Email Softwares to block or drop traffic and emails from the listed sources. It helps them against overwhelming spam emails and spurious internet traffic.

WCS India uses Sandvine’s Network Security product to manage the IP Reputation needs of CSPs. It helps protect CSPs reputation and their subscribers from various known and emerging network threats including outbound spam and worm traffic.
